Your Smile is Your Logo.
I have always believed that people may not remember what you have said but they will remember how they felt when they left your presence. For some, once they have been hurt, it is difficult to "bite their tongue ... and perhaps rightfully so. The down side to always being on the "defense" to prevent an "offense" you never relax long enough to think of how you would feel on the other end of a verbally insulting, blistering and negative talk. Thing is, you NEVER get a second chance to make a first lasting impression. Independent of the situation - even if the situation warranted frustration, you will always be recognized for how you made someone feel once they left your presence.
We live in a fast paced society. We are weary warriors. There is a lot of negative information to filter through our senses every day. Realizing that everyone is fighting some kind of battle should ease the need to "give someone a piece of your mind". Knowing that this life is not a dress rehearsal - if you lose this life - you don't get a do-over. Choose your words wisely - make them soft and sweet - you never know when you will have to ear your words!!
How do people "feel" once YOU leave the room?
What is the signature of your existence?
