Psalm 91 King James Version (KJV)

91 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

It is difficult to ignore the WORLD NEWS right now.  By NOW, you are likely affected by some portion of the guidelines as issued by the CDC or other governmental agency resulting in some delay or closure.  Having kids at home is a "feat" in and of itself but God "knew" YOU" would be able to handle it!

The greatest CAUTION I ca offer to you - is to limit what you allow yourself to "listen to".  The media has given constant "UPDATES" which are unsettling.  Guard your mind as much as you can.  I am NOT an avid TV watcher - so looking at TV or NOT looking at TV (news) does not bother me.  Bad news sells and much of the reporting is of "the bad stuff".  Not that "bad stuff" does not exist - but if you beed your mind with only "bad stuff" - you cloud your senses that God is STILL in control.  

I am taking this time to PRAY and focus on what is "really" important to me.  Of course I have closets to attend to - after all "Spring Cleaning" is part of my normal seasonal routine.  Keeping my mind lifted above the chaos is critical - I am customarily a "thinker" ... okay, I can be an "over-thinker".  :-)  Settling myself down has been somewhat difficult because my "routine" is off balance.  These past few days I have noticed that each day has become "easier" - as I sit down and have a heartfelt conversation with "MYSELF".  There is a "reality check" I had to give myself and short of "slapping myself" on the facr - I "think" I got through to "MYSELF"!!  I mean, what can "WE" do?  We can "worry" and it will solve NOTHING - or we can "roll with the punches".  It is an inescapable reality that those "church" cliche's are making us put our "money where our mouth is".  Either "God is in control" - or "He isn't".  Can we "Trust God" when we cannot understand "His Plan".  

I assure you that the King of Kings is NOT pacing around in Heaven wondering "what is going on".  There is NOT a frenzy in the Heavenly realm because God has ALREADY" walked our steps.  If God had "DO NOT FEAR" in the bible 365 times - EVERYDAY WE ARE NOT TO FEAR.  Why?  Because "HE" said so!  

I am all for being "prepared", too.  Before the toilet paper frenzy hit its highest pitch, much of the toiletries we needed was in tow.  The "PANIC SHOPPING" is not for me - because I tend to purchase "what I see" versus "what I need".  It is not uncommon to walk out the store with $100 worth of groceries and get half-way home and realize I did not get some of the things I "NEEDED".  Certainly, we must adapt to this present situation so I will not write anything that I will NEVER do - for  the sake of SURVIVAL - we have to throw out our own agendas. 

As I snuggle into the comfort of my bed and read the Word - I cannot help but to think of those less fortunate or elderly.  These last few weeks, I have been able to "THANK GOD" on a whole new level.  In spite of the "WOULDA", "COULDA" and "SHOULDA" - i AM BLESSED.  My personal prayer time has become more INTENSE as I intercede for those, near nad far, that are seeking a closer walk with The Father.  

It seems like it takes horrid events to awaken our realization of a "HIGHER POWER".  I vividly remember the tragic 9/11 attack - how I longed to just "touch my daughter"!  I was at work - I grabbed my "things" and rushed to her day care.  She was eating "goldfish" and was ELATED that she had "early dismissal" until she saw me cry.NOTHING was wrong with ME - but the horror of what was happening on our soil.  I was personally "groaning" for the people affected!  Fast-forward - MANY OF THE CHURCHES WERE SO CROWDED YOU COULD NOT GET A PARKING SPACE.  Seemed like everyone wanted to get their "calling and election sure" - seeking confidence that they were going to make Heaven their home.  Time has passed and although disasters of many kinds have plagued us - somehow we adapted to new routines and CHURCH ATTENDANCE dwindled.  Now --- going to church DOES NOT SAVE YOU - but the assembly of corporate worship is PRICELESS.

I know you have a lot on your mind - seeking to navigate this present crisis.  Just let me leave you with this....God's got us.   God will bring peace in the midst of this storm - and the next one and the next one and the next one too!! 

CONTINUE TO PRAISE GOD - EVEN WHEN YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT "HE" IS DOING!   God does NOT suffer from schizophrenia!  God is not "absent minded".  God is not "scared of the coronavirus"!  God is faithful!!  i AM ON THE LORD's side - HE HAS "NEVER" LOST A BATTLE YET!  Walk in VICTORY - "GOD WINS".... each and EVERY TIME!!

Isaiah 60:22 - When The Time Is Right I,The Lord Will Make It Happen".

Now is a good time to put that TRUST to work.
