Don't Hug a Grudge

As we make mental and physical preparations for the holiday season and enter into a new year it is also a time of reflection.  Old memories and traditions are initiated to carry out familiar family passages of happiness and fine gifts are exchanged.  Some family members we want to see and oh well, there are others that are in our family tree who are less desirable (if you know what I mean).

In short, if we allow ourselves, we can remember an instance that took place at the last family gathering and feel "something" about someone - even though a whole year has passed!!

I admonish you to refrain from holding a grudge.  A grudge grows into anger and before you know it that same grudge can turn into hate.  Yes, hate.  Ask me how I know.

Life today as if it were your last.  Tomorrow REALLY IS NOT PROMISED.  Make the best of today.  Put the past in the past and focus on enjoying the present.  You can do it.
