Little Things Mean A Lot.
In the pursuit of happiness and inner peace, people look a lot of different places. Happiness has an individual definition and it is a taste that can only be satisfied by the longing of the heart of person pursuing it. I have meat wealthy people who are at the pinnacle of what one would define happiness to be who are suicidal. On the other hand, I have met homeless people hat hat happiness but alas, they have no money.
Similarly, inner peace has a definition for all. Of course, I would seek to suggest that the only peace that can be found is n the arms of God. Saying "GOD" evokes emotions too numerous to mention because so many have opinions of who - and what God means. Truly, inner peace is an "INSIDE JOB". The definition is clear and concise to the one seeking it - and some travel a lifetime looking for it. Unfortunately, it is not in a bottle of pills and someone could tell you to "take one and call me in the morning". Funny ,though - inner peace (for me) is a choice.
As I mature in life as a single woman, I have learned that it is the "little things that mean a lot". Speaking only from the perspective of a woman, trinkets and expressions of appreciation are wonderful but it is the "little things" that get my attention - and keep my attention.
Contrary to popular belief, while there are different facets that make up the union of two hearts - ahhhhh - it is still the little things that mean a lot. Don't over-estimate the need to impress by your experience in the bedroom or how many hours you dedicate to your job, the car you drive or the mediocre things that make people get into a fury of meaningless competition. Consider stimulating conversation - better yet - being in the presence of someone you care about and NO conversation. Listening the rhythm of their heart when nothing is being said at all. How about creating a dance floor in your living room - swaying only to the sounds within your soul.
It's the seemingly "smallest" things that keeps me going. A smile - an unexpected touch on my hand. You don't need to impress someone to keep them - otherwise you will spend the rest of your life looking for that "thing" to top the other "thing". Remember, it only takes one spark, ignited at the right place and at the right time to start a FIRE. Little things mean a lot.
You were divinely created with specific chromosomes that will attract the specific person that lines up with the make-up of your character. I believe this with all of my heart.
Be mature and patient enough to WAIT for that divine collision course with your destiny ... I am.
